In using this website ‘Jeepmonkey.co.uk” you are deemed to have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions.
The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements: “Client”, “You” and “Your” refers to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions. “The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We” and “Us”, refers to our Company. “Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves. All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration, or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing English Law. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalisation and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.
N.B. – Nothing in this document affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Wherever possible we take the actual image(s) of the parts advertised, however, this is not always possible and we have to use the manufacturer’s image(s). Manufacturer’s images do not always reflect actual part number selected, and are provided for illustration purposes only, and may vary slightly from products received. Part numbers listed are used for reference purposes only. No implication is made that the actual products sold are the product of the original equipment manufacturer, unless otherwise stated.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Authorised employees within the company on a need to know basis only use any information collected from individual customers. We constantly review our systems and data to ensure the best possible service to our customers. Parliament has created specific offences for unauthorised actions against computer systems and data. We will investigate any such actions with a view to prosecuting and/or taking civil proceedings to recover damages against those responsible.
Credit Card Security
We take security of your details very seriously and have taken every precaution to ensure your transaction is secure. All your personal and account details are held on a secure web server. When you place your order you will be taken onto a secure server – look for the locked padlock symbol in the status bar of your internet browser. We do not store or process your card details at Jeep Monkey for fraud protection and security reasons. This policy restricts our ability to take telephone orders and card details over the phone.
We are registered under the Data Protection Act 1998 and as such, any information concerning the Client and their respective Client Records may be passed to third parties. However, Client records are regarded as confidential and therefore will not be divulged to any third party, other than our manufacturer/supplier(s) and if legally required to do so to the appropriate authorities. Clients have the right to request sight of, and copies of any and all Client Records we keep, on the proviso that we are given reasonable notice of such a request. Clients are requested to retain copies of any literature issued in relation to the provision of our services. Where appropriate, we shall issue Client’s with appropriate written information, handouts or copies of records as part of an agreed contract, for the benefit of both parties. We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to any third party or use your e-mail address for unsolicited mail. Jeep Monkey may e-mail notification of special offers, events, articles we may consider of interest to you, and updates to the site after your first contact. An option to be excluded from this service will be included on any such e-mail.
All prices and info are correct, excluding genuine errors. However due to fluctuations in the market prices a very small percentage of products may still have an out of date price attached (this could be either an increase or decrease to the price which is currently advertised). We make every effort to alter these before posting but on the odd occasion an incorrect price may still be attached, and in this case you will be contacted before your order is posted.
We reserve the right to alter without prior notice any content found within this Web site. If we change our Terms and Conditions, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information has changed. By using the site after any such revision you agree to be bound by such changes. The manufacturer reserves the right to make component changes without notification. Although we attempt to accurately reflect all products displayed, images and specifications may differ from purchased products and should be used as a guide only. Specifications may also differ between countries. The information on this web site is provided on an “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, this Company:
- excludes all representations and warranties relating to this website and its contents or which is or may be provided by any affiliates or any other third party, including in relation to any inaccuracies or omissions in this website and/or the Company’s literature; and
- excludes all liability for damages arising out of or in connection with your use of this website. This includes, without limitation, direct loss, loss of business or profits (whether or not the loss of such profits was foreseeable, arose in the normal course of things or you have advised this Company of the possibility of such potential loss), damage caused to your computer, computer software, systems and programs and the data thereon or any other direct or indirect, consequential and incidental damages.
- NB. The above exclusions and limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law. None of your statutory rights as a consumer are affected.
Frontal Protection Regulation
These parts should not be fitted to your vehicle for use on a public highway. When fitted it is illegal to use your vehicle on the public highway (reference the regulations came into force on May 25th 2007).
We do not sell these parts for public highway use in the UK or EU, and they should ONLY be fitted for OFF ROAD USE. Failure to comply may result in legal prosecution and could invalidate your insurance cover.
Payment & Delivery
Payment can be made by credit/debit card via our website, or by cheque via post. Please make all cheques payable to “Jeep Parts UK”. Goods will be despatched upon receipt of cleared funds.
We do not have facilities for collections.
We will deliver to the address given to us by you at the time you place your order. For security reasons, we cannot deliver to addresses other than the address of the cardholder where a credit or debit card has been used for payment. In the interests of credit card security you may be contacted with a request for additional information, prior to the dispatch of your order.
Should we have to reimburse your payment via credit/debit card, a 3.5% charge will be levied to cover our refund fees and administration costs. These charges will be waived if your refund is due to faulty goods, or we have dispatched the wrong item.
We will normally despatch your order to you within 3 business days. International orders are generally despatched within 3 business days of receipt of cleared funds. Estimated delivery times are advised when we confirm your order. Dependent on which courier is used for your delivery, we may also require telephone number, in case we need to contact you, and this number may be given to our couriers in order to help with the delivery of your goods. You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
On receipt of the goods from the courier, any damage to the packaging must be noted as ‘Damaged’ when signed for. Failure to do so will indicate that you have received them in good condition and will be unable to claim for any Damage. You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received. Please allow up to 30 days for delivery.
Your rights to return goods are protected under the Consumer Contract Regulations; you are entitled to cancel an order from the moment you place your order and this ends 14 days from the day you receive it You will get a refund within 14 days of us getting the goods back, or you providing evidence of having returned the goods (for example, a proof of postage receipt from the post office), whichever is the sooner. To arrange a return do this by contacting us by email, quoting the order number and date of the original invoice. We will at this point authorise your return, and allocate a returns reference number. Your refund will be paid within 14 days. You are responsible for the cost and risk of loss or damage when returning the goods, so you should take out enough postal insurance to cover their value. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault – for example, if goods are faulty or incorrectly described. This does not apply to goods which have been specially ordered or manufactured and are supplied correctly. If you are returning goods after 14 days, a 15 to 30% restock fee will apply, and a credit note will be issued for the balance.
The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:
- Problem from misuse or improper installation
- Opened electrical items such as sensors, computers, programmers and wiring kits
- Specially ordered or manufactured items (supplied correctly and without fault)
- Sale or Clearance items
- If not in a saleable condition
- A deduction can be made if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary. The extent to which a customer can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them in a shop
New items returned due to dispatching the wrong item
Although we endeavour to dispatch all orders without error, mistakes do occasionally happen. If the return is due to an error on our behalf, items up to 1kg can be sent back via Royal Mail 1st class recorded delivery and postage will be reimbursed once the item is received back.
For items over 1 kg we will email a courier label to attach to the item, this may involve delivering the item off at a “drop off point” nearby
Most of our goods are covered by manufacturers’ warranties. This expressly excludes any claim for the cost of the labour that may be involved in replacing faulty Goods, unless otherwise stated. Warranties cover manufacturing faults and defects but do not cover damage caused by crashing, abuse, general wear and tear etc. Should the purchaser be a business, or if the goods are used wholly or in part for business purposes we shall not be liable to purchaser for any business loss including loss of profits (whether direct or indirect), business data, revenue, goodwill, or incidental or consequential loss that you may suffer as a result of the purchase of Goods from Jeep Parts UK. Liability shall be limited to the price paid for the Goods. If you feel you do have a warranty claim before returning any goods please email us for a warranty assessment. All parts returned for a warranty assessment, will be investigated prior to replacement or refund. If a replacement is required before returning the original part ordered, payment will be requested. Following satisfactory return and analysis of the part, and providing the part is found to be faulty, a credit will be issued for this part including your postage costs. Warranties are non-transferrable and are in effect as long as the original purchaser owns the merchandise and for the time agreed upon in the terms and conditions of that warranty or guarantee.
Availability of goods ordered
If we are unable to provide you with the goods you have ordered, you will be contacted as soon as possible at which point you will be offered the choice of accepting substitute goods of equivalent value or a complete refund of any sums that you have paid.
If your item is not in stock, we can back order for you. Items not in UK stock but are available at the European hub are usually 7 – 10 working days. If items are U.S.A only this can be 6 – 8 weeks. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
All prices on our website are shown in pounds sterling and are inclusive of UK import duties, unless otherwise stated. In the unlikely event your order may render you liable to import, state, local or other taxes, you will be advised; such taxes are entirely your responsibility within the UK. You are responsible for payment of any charges your government may issue when the goods arrive at their destination country outside the UK. We will not reimburse any additional costs in excess of notified charges if incurred regardless of circumstances.
VAT and import duties
All prices on our website are shown in pounds sterling and are inclusive of UK VAT and import duties, unless otherwise stated. In the unlikely event your order may render you liable to import, state, local or other taxes, you will be advised; such taxes are entirely your responsibility within the UK. Customers within the EU are required to pay VAT on goods. You are responsible for payment of any charges your government may issue when the goods arrive at their destination country outside the UK. We will not reimburse any additional costs in excess of notified charges if incurred regardless of circumstances.
Neither party shall be liable to the other for any failure to perform any obligation under any Agreement which is due to an event beyond the control of such party including but not limited to any Act of God, terrorism, war, Political insurgence, insurrection, riot, civil unrest, act of civil or military authority, uprising, earthquake, flood or any other natural or manmade eventuality outside of our control, which causes the termination of an agreement or contract entered into, nor which could have been reasonably foreseen. Any Party affected by such event shall forthwith inform the other Party of the same and shall use all reasonable endeavours to comply with the terms and conditions of any Agreement contained herein.
